My approach.

Our bodies were designed to heal themselves. Sometimes, however, we “get in the way” of this amazing self healing mechanism.

My approach to persistent (chronic) pain and tension uses the latest research proven methods that have long lasting results. Acute pain, such as when you sprain your ankle, is very different from pain or tension that lasts greater than three months. Pain or tension lasting greater than three months can become “hard wired” into our nervous system. Treating persistent pain as you would acute pain results in only temporary relief requiring perpetual treatment.

My on target assessment, thorough meaningful education and safe novel movements result in long lasting healing. I offer a unique approach to physical therapy by connecting your Nervous System and your Body to treat persistent pain and tension. I help you find the Power of You!

Physical Therapy.

I am passionate about the nervous system and teaching my patients how to use it to their advantage. I have 20+ years of physical therapy experience treating patients with persistent (often called chronic) pain, orthopedic concerns, and pelvic health issues. My focus is teaching you how to take care of your nervous system and your body while developing your own practice that fits into your day.

We will work together to develop a movement practice that incorporates your nervous system and body using Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Body Mapping, and/or Breathing Techniques. You are the main player and I am the coach. I help you access The Power of You!

Tai Chi & Qi Gong.

I believe that scheduling time for ourselves to connect with our brain, body, and breathing is more important than ever.  The flowing movements of Tai Chi and Qi Gong are a great way to make this connection

I am a certified Qi Gong and Tai Chi instructor.  Learn Tai Chi and Qi Gong through my live online courses with a focus on the nervous system and decreasing tension within your body while developing your own practice.  Enjoy some fun and laughter along the way, too!
